Almost end of term... come on!

One and a half weeks to end of term! I got to start writing essay, it's a rather simple title i chose " Is globalization a good or bad thing?" which reminds me of GP. A very long GP essay. Hey.. i need my GP notes... ! Who can furnish me with all the generous info that Gary Lim fed us? ASAP? Booo. Everytime essay writing period comes... will be so sian... can't wait to get it over and done with and hopefully improve on the first one which i didnt' do well in!

Can't wait to go Italy! Ahh! Hope it'll be lots of fun!

And then i was thinking... hey, i want to go to the US sometime in my 3 years, Florida USA Disneyland! New York, Niagara falls, all the touristy things lah... But then, i need to think of how to get the money to go there. So perhaps, i should go for the Work and Travel USA thing, thing is, they want people in summer. Hmm... thinking too much! Just suddenly feel like being a kid all over again.

Loads of people are flying home soon! Not me... boo, got to make the most out of my time here yeah. I was just thinking, why hasn't my culinary skills improved.. after 2 months of experimentation, i just burnt my cabbage yesterday night! Hey, i actually enjoy cooking pretty much if i have the time okae, i shall spend some time during the holidays playing around with food. I want to be a good cook! That's one of my aspirations. Haha. And not to forget, revising my work, unfortunately, catching up on reading, because there are so many things floating around in my head, so difficult to understand. Especially when i've got bad teachers.

And part of the reason why i can't wait for hols is because practically everyone in my flat's going home, including roommate most importantly. Yay, peace and quiet! I've got lotsa things i wanna do still, i heard that Lion King is very nice to watch and Les Mis which i'll most probably catch during the hols and i have yet to finish exploring London, I saw the Christmas deco at Regent street when we were on the way to Nottingham and it looked REALLY nice, endless street deco! suddenly one month break seems like such a short time, oh well, until then. Remember the essay? Hwachong pals, info will be much appreciated! Haha, in the meantime, enjoy your holidays guys!

Thoughts...

Heya guys! I'm so sleepy but i will persevere and update! The reason i'm so sleepy is because we woke up at the unearthly hour of 4 30am on sat morning to catch the bus to Nottingham. I enjoyed it alot for several reasons, firstly and foremostly, the spirit of the netball team was fantastic! Inspite of the cold, I mean severe cold, we were so badly abused by the weather for 5 hours till our joints ached. Yes, it was very bad! I love how we all played our hearts out, cheered for each other, it's a very heartwarming feeling(perhaps the only thing that could have kept us warm). Even though i didn't play much, but woah, that team spirit, that drive is just fantastic. And there are so many people to thank for making this possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart (i know it sounds cheesy, but i mean it ! :) I am so grateful to be part of this wonderful team.

Secondly, i was reminded of the Hwachong days, those crazy days when we shouted ourselves hoarse cheering for the basketball team. Adrian was wearing his hwachong jersey, that set it off. The LSE team made it to the finals, exciting, although we lost but it was a good fight.

Thirdly, i met people like Daphne Yuan, our beloved head prefect, really got a chance to talk to her on the bus. She's such a nice and likeable girl, can't imagine people not being nice to her. Really happy that i met her, and i met Yvonne and April as well. :) Daphne reminded me of the importance of choosing flatmates for next year, point in check. She was telling me how her second year was awful cos of one of her flatmates. No idea how the arrangements will go for next year, but just keep in mind, be very careful when choosing who to stay with. Hmm.

Speaking of flatmates, even though i'm kind of staying in a flat now, i obviously didnt choose to stay with these people. If there's one thing i can't stand, it's NOISE. God, fridays and saturdays, they party like hell, at 2 am in the morning they're talking so loudly outside my room. People actually still need to sleep you know. Crap, and they go in and out of that flat, so the door just keeps banging when they go in and out. Irritating. If i get irritated enough, i'll slip a note under their room. Better not come to this man. Yeah, and yesterday night, i was tossing and turning for almost 2 hours before i knocked off. I was so tired after coming back from Nottingham and i couldnt sleep. It's so frustrating, hope it doesn't happen often.
So, in my unable to sleep mode, started counting sheep... counted till about 400 plus then gave up, still couldnt sleep, toss turn, somersault. Then those irritating people at 1,2am started making noise lah, made it even harder to fall asleep. Growl. And then i was thinking of how good it'll be to have my own room. Bah, therefore, looking forward to having my own room next year, private space is so important. Tahan, tahan.

Today, i met Aunty Christine and Uncle Andrew, they passed me all my stuff, luckily they came over! so now i've got a black cashmere to fight the cold and nice white corduroy jacket and thermal underwear and new gloves! AHhh! I love you mummy! And then i went to Camden with them, quite a nice place to window shop, weird quirky stuffs and i forgot to bring my camera! Then we went to this other section in hyde park which i didn't go last time, so pretty with the fountains and the red leaves on the trees, should get some pictures up next week when uncle Andrew's friend sends them to me. Then we went to Bayswater for lunch, nice Chinese restaurant, good food! Yum... hmmm

In other news, i'll be going to Wales with Kahmei on 20th Dec. Yeap, just the 2 of us. Hope it'll be fun. want to go to the coastal area!

And i have a presentation for IR tomorrow which i think i'll do very badly in, not much time to prepare, or more like i didn't put in enough effort to make it good? Hope it doesn't turn out too bad. Going to sleep now, hopefully will be a good sleep. Really need it!

Take care all of you at home! And i'm missing singapore food more and more with the passing of each day. And the weather, i want the heat, bring it on! Enjoy the warmth guys! Bask in the sunshine!

pictures again!

Heya!! Oh man!! It's freeezing down here! -2 degrees early in the morning, it's so blooody cold! Now, the face is like super cold when the wind blows, need to wear that kinda terrorist mask.. or gardener's mask or whatever you call it. Boohoohoo. It's not even December yet, arhhh.. ! No good no good! Anw.. yeah, i went to zone 3 early in the morning today to check out the rowin scene, walked a good 20 min to waterloo station, cos it was like 8 something on a sunday morning, it was pretty quiet and dodgy, there was this strange man limping around looking damn suspicious, i was so scared practically sprinted pass him. Finally got to zone 3... nice neighbourhood, but God, it was Freezing! Worse than central london. The fog was so thick... as illustrated in the pictures below, and there was some kinda hailstones! There was frost on the rooves( or roofs?) of the houses, looked truly like winter wonderland! balding trees and all. But... the river was so foggy... couldnt even see the river!! SO, the whole rowing was cancelled(first time it happened so far and it had to be when i went! suay... )! Woke up so early, braved the cold travelled so far for nothing.. :(

Anyway, i'm thinking very hard about joining rowing because.. one thing, each trip there costs me almost 5 pounds (unless i risk it and not pay...) and i take almost an hour to get there and the cold! When January comes... gonna become an icicle or popsicle. And, you have to pay 10 pounds for membership and another 15 pounds on top of that for use of boats. Sure got to think hard.

And then it was Shihui's birthday celebration! Surprise birthday! Looks like its not just us who like to have surprises huh! Had the most lovely lasagne which i shared with Jiawei ( save money lah ).

So, here are the pictures!

A few more pictures to come yeah, waiting for people to send. In the meantime, take care guys, your exams should be ending soon? All the best! Hold on!

The day London was unkind to me...

I guess i should get over it.. i was pickpocketed at Leicester square while watching the Harry Potter premiere. Never happened before my entire life... feeling so crappy now. Not alot of cash lost, just all the cards, had my first experience of reporting a case to the police, wouldnt ever want to go there again. Less than 2 months here and i get pickpocketed, please let this be the last. Totally spoilt my mood... the Harry Potter premiere would have been fun, Florrine and Winnie saw draco malfoy and neville longbottom and claudia schiffer and kate Beckinsale... and i missed it all. Upsetting... my wallet's gone. Argh... why why why. Bad Bad day.

Now i have to make a new debit card, student id, take ic photos, get over the loss of my bi4 shen1 fu3, neoprints, photocopy card, calling cards, cash etc etc. Upset...

Finally managed to more or less finish a crappy IR essay, took so long to finish it, i'm spending more time on IR than anything else and it's my option?!?! Just hoping to pass it.

On a happier note, i saw the most amazing fireworks last night. and bonfire ... where they burned up big ben... kinda ominous (choy!)

My wallet... boohoohoo. I want to call homeee.
